This unique trek combines the stark splendour of Everest and it’s surroundings with the beauty of the Gokyo Lakes and the adventure of crossing the Tsho-la Pass in between. Landing at the Lukla airport, trek to Namche Bazaar for acclimatization, up to Khunde (3840 m), then Thyangboche monastery (3873 m), Dingboche (4360 m) where we acclimatize again, on to Lobuche (4931 m) before arriving at the Everest Base Camp (5300 m) the returning to Gorak Shep (5,165 m) from where we go to Kala Pathar (5545m) for close views of Everest and her sister peaks.
Descend via the Dzong-la Pass (4843 m) and the Tsho-la Pass (5420m) and head west to the Gokyo lakes. Passing through Dragnak (4770 m) at the southern edge of the Ngozumpa Glacier, head up to Gokyo (4750 m) where those gorgeous lakes, including Dudh Pokhari (4750 m), exist. Hike up to Gokyo-ri (5483 m) to view Everest (8848 m), Makalu (8,475 m), Cho-Oyu (8153 m), Pumori (7145 m), and Ama Dablam (6856 m) and Changtse Peak in Tibet (7550 m). Descend to Machermo (4410 m) and Phortse Tenga (3675 m) then to Namche Bazaar and finally Lukla for the flight back to Kathmandu.
