Many international trekkers have done the Annapurna Circuit trek, described by travel writers as being one of the best “classic” trekking trails in the world, up along the Marshyangdi River valley which divides the Manaslu Range in the east and the Annapurna Himal in the west. This particular trek takes clients off the beaten track that deviates at times from the Marshyangdi-Manang Valley meeting point to visit the extremely remote villages of Naar and Phu-gaon and the rarely crossed Kang-la Pass (5322 m). Again, descending to the Manang Valley and leaving the normal north-westerly trekking route towards Thorong-la Pass and Muktinath, our guides take clients up to the highest lake in the world: astoundingly beautiful Tilicho (5121 m).
